2007 SYFCA INDOOR CHEER PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Please contact Brenda Rollins rollinsx6@yahoo.com if you are needed to volunteer those days and make arrangements to cover your shift.
Indoor practice is a time when all squads should be working on tumbling and stunting. Uses this time wisely! We will be rotating mat time and be utilizing this opportunity to practice increasing degrees of cheer skill difficulty. Please be respectful of ALL teams practicing with you.
There is a lounge area for parents to wait for their cheerleaders and watch from a viewing area. Parents, please wait in these areas for your children.
No siblings or parents are allowed in the practice area.
Outdoor practice is a time to work on your motions, routine and cheer skills. NO STUNTING or TUMBLING should be done outside now that indoor practice is available. Mark your routine when you are outside. The weather will be changing soon and the ground will be wet and slippery!
The schedule beginning Tuesday, September 11th from 6:00- 8:00 PM is:
Practice will begin PROMPTLY at 6:00 pm. Please allow plenty of time to arrive and set up the mats.
Practice will end PROMPTLY at 8:00 pm Please allow plenty of time to roll up the mats and clean up the area.
If a team needs to cancel an indoor practice, PLEASE contact Cheryl or Holly ASAP so that another squad may fill the time slot.
If any team does not follow the rules of indoor practice, they may be asked to end that practice and possibly not be allowed to return.
Practice will be outside on Saturday mornings.
INDOOR PRACTICE REMINDER
a. PLEASE arrive promptly and be ready to cheer at 6:00 PM.
b. Please secure that your coach is present before dropping off a cheerleader. If parents are not staying at the location. PLEASE be available by phone at all times!
c. If squad is too young to set up and put mats away, older cheerleaders are required to assist them. This is not a coach’s responsibility.
d. Parents and siblings are not allowed on the indoor practice facility field. There is a lounge and a viewing area for families to wait for their cheerleader.
e. PLEASE be prompt when picking up your cheerleader at 8:00 PM. If you will be frequently late, due to having another child at Dean Park, please notify your coach of this situation.
f. No Food in the gym. Water only. (Drink machines are in the facility)
g. Clean up when you leave.
h. Keep music at a considerate volume.
i. Please be aware that you may still be required to volunteer in the concessions stand at Dean Park. PLEASE be considerate of that schedule and make alternative plans and find a replacement if you will be at indoor cheer practice that night.
j. No violence, intimidation or inappropriate behavior, comments or gestures will be allowed. Be respectful of the other teams at all times!
k. Any violation of the Code of Conduct may result in being banned from SYFC and PW events. Dismissal of your child may also occur.
