Shrewsbury Youth Football and Cheerleading

Back To About SYFCA      SYFCA Bylaws        Organizational Chart

SYFC is an organized program that teaches the basic skills and concepts of both football and cheerleading, while promoting and encouraging academic excellence, sportsmanship, discipline and respect. SYFC is a charter member of the National Pop Warner Little Scholars Inc. and a member of the Central Massachusetts Pop Warner Football League.

We have been in existence since 1995 and even though it has been a brief history, we have made great strides over the last ten years to build a strong program that we believe is providing a solid  Foundation For The Future of football in Shrewsbury and for the wider community.  We would like to thank all those people who have helped make this such a successful program, through our  Roll Of Honor .

Pop Warner Football is an international program operated for the benefit of its youthful participants.

Since 1929, the Program's Philosophy has been that academics and athletics go hand-in-hand. At every level, Pop Warner Football seeks to develop well-rounded young men and women who learn not only the fundamentals of football or cheerleading, but also the importance of education, in an atmosphere conducive to developing sound mind, body and character - and having a good time along the way! Many NFL Players have started through the Pop Warner program, but countless many others have enjoyed the camaraderie that comes with playing together as a team.

Review our  Frequently Asked Questions  to learn more about Pop Warner in general and specifically about SYFCA - if you have any other questions please contact a member of the  Executive Board. The program is run by a small group of volunteer Executive Board Members and Coaches who dedicate a lot of time and energy to making everything run smoothly.  This is definitely a job where more hands would make light work so please consider seriously taking up one of our volunteer  Opportunities!
